Yup...easy if you have tabbed browsing. To cut/copy, you need only select it in the "edit" menu of your browser and select the function you need (don't forget to highlight the area you want to quote). Then switch over to the other tabbed area...and paste as normal.
Be sure you hit the "quote function" before you cut/copy. It allows you to copy/grab the "quote/unquote" of the original poster.

Oh man! I knew I was computer ILLITERATE but wowzers! Nothing like making me feel like a complete idiot. Oh well I will try to wrap my mind around this stuff. I do appreciate the advice though even if it is way over my head.
To those of you with all this knowledge; much respect. maybe someday I too will get it.
Just had an afterthought. I have heard of all kinds of "books for dummies" maybe one of you could make a small manual and title it "posting for dummies." I know I would read it! -
Tab's in the newest internet explorer right
Isn't it faster to just highlight and right click
Or is this different -
Yes tabs are in the new Explorer and Mozilla FireFox.
He was asking about posting from one thread, to another differant thread. Catching someone who says one thing in one thread, then the opposite in another. Flip Floppers.
I'm not sure about your browser. But, I'm unable to simply "highlight & copy/cut". I have to highlight, then cut or copy from the menu bar. -
Thanks WiseOne.

If there is a thread already started about this, I appologize, but I couldn't find it. Iam trying to figure out how to muti quote a singular post. I see it all of the time, but I have yet to figure out how to do it? To clarify, I am talking about someone that writes a long winded post(like myself) and I would like to respond to several parts of it. How do I break their post down into several sections so I can reply to each section individually? I know this is probably easy to do, and I probably look like and idiot for not knowing, but it would save me so much time if I knew how. Thanks for any assistance you can offer!

The little button on the bottom of the message you want to quote right next to the quote button. It has a quote mark and a + sign on it.
18wheeldumptrucker Thanks this. -
What I do is:
Click on the " response button.
Start with the [ quote = 18wheeldumptrucker;540784 ] for example (with no spaces)
place [ / quote ] (with no spaces)
enter your response
copy [ quote = 18wheeldumptrucker; 540784 ]
paste
do the same for [ / quote ]18wheeldumptrucker Thanks this. -
