Oh, since I figured it out (with the help of many friends) I've been quoting like a mad man!! And yes, those political threads are something. I've only recently felt brave enough to venture in there myself!

    Cybergal Thanks this.

Wow, I sure should have found this thread a lot sooner. In fact, this whole section has been very helpful!

    Cybergal and WiseOne Thank this.

I see the button, I have read the FAQ, but I still don't know how to do this.

Not talking about replying to different posters (although this would be useful, also), but about replying, with quotes, to different sentences or paragraphs from one post/poster.

Hope I have made myself clear.

    To quote several different sections.....

Copy the section then paste the section.....
Next.....highlight the section and use this [IMG] by clicking...you will then see this: (QUOTE]highlight the section and use this[/QUOTE)

I removed the first and last brackets ([ ]) to show you what it looks like before posting....

You'll then end up with this....
I hope this clears up your question....

That multi-quote thing confuses me. So I must be doing it wrong.

The way that WCP explained seems to work great.

Very simple. Find the post you want. Click multi post. Go to next post. Click multi post. Go to the last post you want. Click multi post. Then click quote. So simple a cave man can do it...:biggrin_25523:

Actually the mutli quote is so easy a cave man could do it once he knows how.

See the button to the right of the "quote" button, the one with the + on it????

Hit that button for every quote you want to copy. On the final one hit the "quote" button.

That does it separately. Just a lot easier. Then you can edit out if you don't want the whole quote.
