That sucks, see if there is a shop that will reset it? This is crazy that they would have these things set like that!. I wish you luck and warmth! Take Care.

Override the anti idle by repeatedly calling dispatch until they assign you a load.

Find you a mechanic with a laptop and give him some cash. You could just drive an old truck with a mechanical. They can't set idle time. There ain't a computer involved.

On the paccars, they don't even give the techs an option to disable the idle shutdown. To disable it, a dealer must make a request into head Paccar, they make a new engine flash, download the flash and then upload it to the truck. Not quite a simple 2 min procedure anymore..

I had mine set to 600min (10hrs). The idle timer has to have a value set, and that was the maximum according to the dealership. If I wanted to idle longer, I just have to release the parking brake and it resets itself. I have an apu so this is not an issue for me. I only idle if it is really cold, like -5 or -10.

Get an 80lb weight, compress the clutch and set the weight on it. It works on my international.

lol that is really bad for your clutch brake.

Another way I have heard of is to trick the truck into thinking it is driving by removing the driveline and putting the truck in gear and letting it idle along all night.

It isnt bad for the clutch brake at all. The release bearing might have some issues though.
Racking up the odometer and removing a u joint every night sounds like a easy perfect way to bypass the idle shutdown. Let me know how great that works for ya
