Hmmmm. My company says theirs are locked. All the drivers say they can't read thiers but mine works and it is not a team truck. I know it is shut off from the main office because I have had a unit remotely locked. I wonder why mine works lol.

Cause you are lucky, shhhh! But really it's very dangerous to be reading driving down the road just like talking on the cell or texting

i have the Omnivision in my tractor, the one with the female voice.( my girlfriend as i call her lol )
Not to bad, considering you have to set the brakes in order to reply to msg. Most times i keep roling, call my travel agent tell him i'll reply when i stop the next time. He says ok. If the msg needs a yes or no answer, i will give a verbal, then follow up when i stop.
Others hit the nail on the head. DON'T GET CAUGHT TAMPERING WITH THE QC, you may find your self out of a job. -
Oh yeah the girlfriend. Did the wife/girlfriend get jealous the 1st time you was on the phone with her and she heard your "girlfriend"? l.o.l.

u could get with another driver and log into each others q-com so the computer thinks there are 2 people on the truck.
as long as 2 people are logged in u can use it in motion.
but then again i train so i allways have someone else on the truck -
I don't know if it works on the newer ones, but I used to turn the ignition off long enough to read the message and see if it warranted further attention. Sometimes you get a general safety message that doesn't require a reply. I wouldn't do it with an automatic, but as long as the clutch is out and the transmission is in gear, you'll still have power steering, and the engine will relight as soon as you turn the key to "run". However, it may register as a hard braking incident because as far as the computer is concerned, you are going from whatever your road speed is to zero in a split second, so use wisely!!!
