Using the clutch to split gears helps me make smooth shifts..Just 1 push of the clutch Not Double Clutch..I dont always use the Clutch usually just on hills..

Shifts the same as a 8/9 speed, you can just split the gears in half, usually only done on the top side and even then just 7 and 8 unless you are off road or in traffic or such

    1 direct, 3 direct, 4th over, 5 over, 6 over, 7 direct, 7 over, 8 direct, 8 over

you really don’t even need to touch the clutch with the newer rtlos, the old rt/o series you would to make it easier on the trans or you could pull it out of gear and put it back in

This! Once you get this down it won't matter how many gears you have. It is all the same concept. That said, my favorite is 13 speed and 18 speed which I drive exactly the same since I rarely split the lower gears on an 18 speed.

I don’t split them but the splitter does come in handy when skipping gears in the basement, once you get the hang of it.

I shift a gear and a half usually

Got a about a week in with it I found the easiest way to spilt for me right now is something like this 7L-7H-8H then hurry put it in low then back to high when I get higher Rpms

Been trying to make a Smooth shift from 7H to 8L just doesn't seem to go in easy feels like I got to first let the rpms drop then rev them to where it should be to get it to go in smooth

It's possible that's because the timing of the shift is going to be different.

If you shift from 7 High to 8 low you're only shifting half a gear. You're going to drop less RPMs as you make the shift.

So the timing of your shift has to be faster.
