I didn't see that in your original post; no OTR.

Depending on which side of Lakeland you live it's approximately a hour and a half to Mims and Linde is hiring. It's a home every day gig but the commute could be a deal breaker. Decent pay and benefits.

Let me say, way to go, you shan't be disappointed. After 10 years of loading docks, crappy pallets( that you took but they won't) appointments, crabby receivers, all that goes out the window, and good riddance. As always, Chinatown gives some great references, and can't go wrong with any of the suggestions. There aren't a whole lot of OTR tanker jobs, most are local or regional where an overnight may be required. There's a problem. The jobs don't come up often, but they do. My advice, and if I was doing it again, would go for a fuel tanker for a specific travel center, or maybe airport fuel, something you can do anytime. Most fuel jobs run at night, and preferred anyway.
Other good jobs include, but not limited to, water to dope growers, hey, don't laugh, I see guys with new large cars doing that. They use a lot of water, or milk tanker. Farm pickups is a bit demanding, but well worth it, but most are a transfer thing. You go to a station where the farm pickup trucks unload and you take it to a customer.
Caution!!! Watch out, some nasty, NASTY things go in a tanker.:angel4:
Stuff that will take your skin off, so proper training is paramount. No rocket science, just common sense. I hauled one (1) load of gas in my life, I was squeezing the coloring out of the steering wheel, and said, no thanks, but I did haul poop, and water, and it is a great job. Hook up the hoses, OPEN THE TOP!!!, and out comes the can of wax!
