And knees. People with healthy knees and no limp.

About oversteering, there's a sort of delayed reaction between truck and trailer. So you think the trailer isn't reacting to your steering wheel so you turn even more, and then the trailer catches up and suddenly turns way too much. It's easy to oversteer because once you start turning the trailer you actually have to counter-steer to hold that angle (AKA "chasing", "following", "getting back underneath it", etc.). The trailer's natural tendency is to jackknife itself. Imagine you turn the trailer ever so slightly and then just hold the steering wheel. You don't turn sharper, you don't counter-steer, you just hold it there. Because the trailer is turning (albeit just a little bit) it increases the angle between itself and the truck... which causes it to turn more sharply... which increases the angle with the truck... which causes it to turn even more sharply... etc. It's like a chain reaction. So turn the trailer until you get a nice angle that you like, then "hold" that angle by counter-steering as necessary until you need to straighten all the way out.

I ment laughing for stalling it or almost stalling it. Not backing. If they want to laugh at my backing, how funny would it be if I hit their truck.

To throw in a mix to your addled and confused thinking approaching panic... I add this tidbit.

The SLOPE of the land you are physically moving on will influence that trailer to drift downhill. It will absolutely turn that way against your wishes unless you add a force against it with your wheel. He he he.

My company sees me as a steering wheel holder and nothing else. More likely then not I'll be getting one of those ####ty slush boxes when I get my own truck in a few days
