3 cats in a truck...Hmmmm... I backed a trailer in for a very nice lady at a backhaul a few weeks ago (she was having EXTREME difficulty getting in the dock) and she had 3 cats in her tractor with her. The litter box smell was overwhelming....

Don't get me wrong, I'm a cat person. I "inherited" 2 cats in my divorce and they really are good company to me. But I clean their ####house twice and day and run the vacuum AT LEAST every other day, it's work taking care of them. Can't imagine containing 3 of them in such close quarters.

Clumping cat litter and a covered litter box in the truck is a must. I using clumping litter at home too. Like you said there is work involved People have the misconception that with a cat you simply feed it and forget it, it doesn't work that way. The one I have SHEDS more than any creature on earth, and if you don't brush it, and vacuum, you would be up your ### in hair in no time.

Agree 100%. I have hardwood in my home and I sweep almost every day, carpet in the gameroom and bedrooms get the vacuum on the same frequency. They are a lot of work.

So the cat lady wants to move out of her double wide into a flat bed tractor trailer?

Wow, You never considered that OTR is a lifestyle change did you? Just how big do you think the sleeper is on a truck? You, three cats, a litter box, enough food for everybody for 6 weeks out on the road, tools for flatbed work. WTF. Now your going to work hard tarping and strapping in all weathers on that flatbed and then bring your funkified self in the cab with three other animals and the truck for 10 hours until you get a shower and change out of your clothes. Your funky clothes will ferment in that truck until the week ends and you can catch a 34 and clean up the mess. Add three cats and a litter box, you wold have to be crazy to live in that.

I don't think you have spent one minute thinking this through or have a clue what OTR or flatbed entails. You better ask what companies will take pets. I cannot think of one company that would take that show on the road let alone let you train with another driver.

If they all eat the same food it will clear up some cabinet space. Once you add the milk Meowmix looks just like Alphabits....

We kept a cat in our truck for the year we ran team.

The cat loved the truck, it would bask in the one spot the best sun on the dash, for a hundred miles then come over into my lap for the next 450 miles. Ugh. Any time it saw something it will use a paw to lower the window right there at 70. Not good. Stupid thing.

It has the best of everything one could want, covered litter box with stink filters and so on. But...

Take it home to our place for a few days off? It's gone crazy. It does not understand home because if it was not trucking it started displaying mental issues.

We raised many cats in our time. But only two were truck cats. Both of which eventually had to be sent to shelter for adoption because they are only good for the truck and never for the quiet house in one place. It's really hard to write and explain.

All the other cats, whenever they go into the car it's the v-e-t and they meow and protest. (WIth good reason.)

It will be a long time before we have any more cats, the last one we had to put down was our very best and there is not a single cat anywhere in the world that will replace that one. Ever.

    Now three cats? Oh boy.
