Good luck ! Try to be safe and work with what we have.

So split, you should get an hour of drive time after 8 off.
Edit, I misread your post, thought you only drove 10 hours.LUSA Thanks this. -
Something has to happen, loads are not getting delivered and or picked up. I went through Chicago last night, around 2100, hardly any trucks on the road. Truck stops were packed, but there are normally more trucks out here running. It was kind of erie in a way, and was not what I am used to seeing.Oldironfan Thanks this.

Agree with you. I noticed the same inregards to few trucks on the road. I believe that there needs to be some tweaking to this logbook cause we are humans not robots and we can not function as per this system mandates us to. I am hopeful that enough spoiled loads and upset companies/ customers complain, so they can give us a less down time. I dont sleep 10 hours at home much less on THE road.Oxbow and Justrucking2 Thank this.

What you are saying is you developed bad habits on paper. Now it's time to relearn.

How does this matter??
Some people don't sleep during their 10 hour break anyway. Some clean the truck or repair it? The answer is personal conveyence. Just dont get caught with a loaded trailer. And I think you need to return to the area personal conveyence started to go on duty.rabbiporkchop and LUSA Thank this. -
Nope. Stop for your 10 one hour from delivery. He he.peterd, Justrucking2 and LUSA Thank this.

I've been researching ELD rollouts and I didn't realize the impact they have on drivers. What consequences are levied if you break these rules? If LUSA just pushed the extra hour, what fallout can be expected?

And this is why we have elogs. People aren't sleeping, they're not rested, and when they get into an accident everyone will scream they shouldn't have driven while tired.
