And how do you accomplish that? Because if the rules are written to allow you to do it the way YOU want, then the dispatchers and shippers and receivers will force everyone to run that way. So why should that happen? I know it will make you happy, but what about those that don't want that?

'Nobody can cheat em'. Your words. Really? That's not what I have been reading on here or hearing.

I was on elog before. They can be cheated. To an extent. Also they can be turned off. And remember they must be backed up by paper log when they go haywire.

    That doesn’t matter,
Without elogs or HOS then there would be nothing stopping me from working 24 hours a day or my company forcing me to.

Drivers should love having 10 hours off every day whether at home or in the road.
2 hours to play, 7 to sleep an 1 to get ready to do it again. (Well that’s in the minimum time off)

    I just thought of this...
Someday factory workers will want to get to get rid of overtime after 40 hours so that they can work more hours.

    D.Tibbitt and Trucker61016 Thank this.

I think it's sad that they are making this rule without thinking about things like can't park at shipper or receiver and when they keep you there for 3 or 4 hours and your time run out or you're a mile from pickup or delivery and can't move without being in violations after being off for 8 or 9 hours and have to make your appointment. But there're working their 9 to 5 and going home to their family so what do they care no 2 people are alike so how can you regulate when someone need a break we can't tell them when they need one

I did not understand why you qouted yourself? But that's fine.
And I'm glad I'm not the center of anything.

    LOL
I didn't quote myself. And I was just giving you a hard time.
Seriously though, your post I quoted.

How do you propose to make that work? How do you make it so a guy like you would be able to run 14,18 hours a day, and not force someone who only wants to work, say, 8 hours a day driving a truck, to run 14 or 18 hours a day?
And don't get stuck on the numbers. They are examples.
