So's cheating on a paper log, deleting EGR, a list of other things, what's your point? Pretty sure the OP was saying it tongue in cheek, c'mon Barn, lighten up.

 

I know a guy who has a eld but has 3 different apps on his phone and uses all of them
now he is banking on the cops not knowing which app goes with the dongle

will the real app please stand up?

Don't care if it is. I didn't say I was doing it. Wouldn't know how to do it. Somebody will figure out a way to technologically cheat elogs. I won't be doing it just like I don't commit other crimes. But I can and will talk about it when it happens. So thanks for pointing out that it's a felony.

ELDs suck ###! Anyone #####ing about "cheating" on paper can suck it!....Elogs have been cheating since day 1.....logging everything they can as off duty. As far as for safety that is the biggest load of BS ever told! It was ALL about money and the ATA!

 

The cop can pull up a picture of the dongle for each brand....so yes he could get busted hard on that and the fact it shows not connected to adapter..

Already figured out.....I have seen them for sale as "jailbroken" ELDs..
