the ones I’ve known were not afraid to work hard if they thought they were going to make some money .

 

I correspond occasionally with a couple European drivers; one is Irish but lives in the UK, the other is Danish, and runs mostly Norway, Sweden and Finland down into the continent to Italy. Both of them complain about all the 'Polish' drivers, although Hungarians and Bulgarians are included as well. The only real 'Russian' drivers they see are the occasional driver FROM Russia, usually just delivering a high-value load, and most often returning empty. I know the Danish driver often get up to the very far North of Norway, where the Russian border is only 10 km's away.
