They can't lie about certain things like whether you're under arrest. You can lie to police ad well as long as it's not material to the investigation. Like you could tell them your kids bought you your truck for your birthday by saving up their lunch money. Tell them that app is connected to the ecm when they know that app isn't and you'll likely be charged.
