Let's see, that JAP Camry was built in Georgetown, KY but that "American" Ford Fusion was built in Hermosillo, Mexico. Yup, ignorance is bliss.

    Fuel miser AND runner ??

    Aerodynamic body style.
    Aerodynamic fairings and "devices"
13 or 18 so "splits" will keep you from over revving.
3.40 to 3.25 gears for low rpms.
Run it LOW in the rpms.
Delete the DPF and run open muffs.
    Non-EGR engine (pre-2003)

But remember that you can't run 85mph everywhere in a common spec truck and get any decent fuel mileage.
It's gotta be spec for the speed YOU RUN, not what some company wanted

Only way to make the Crapcadia fast is to push it down a mine shaft.... U can keep the engine off to get better MPG till u get to the bottom.

Go to PDI(Performance Diesel Incorperated).com and look at what they can do. They do alot with late model emission control laden motors, i'll warn it can be expensive but wow will you like the way it rolls out. I'm not sure what your options would be for an 09 detriot since i have an 06 ISX but i do know they've gotten some good results with trucks as new as yours. They got mine up to 750 hp but i was an EGR only motor with no DPF and do not have a performance muffler installed. Fuel milage is still over 6 mpg on w900l.

As a percentage most would be surprised.

My wife had some Dbag tell her she should have "bought American" at the post office when she was driving her Acura.......as he climbed in his Mustang. "Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro, have a middling 60 percent domestic content" These are the tool's that hate to have their opinions clouded with facts.:biggrin_2559:
