This is definitely the biggest pile of s$&! I ever been dispatched on

I don't see anything especially bad about it? I'd get on down to Lubbock as soon as possible. Get staged there. If somehow you run short on clock time for the delivery. I've had more than one worker at a DC/warehouse/cold storage walk up to my truck and ask if I can drive over 5 mph. You know what that means. Go ahead and do that if you have to. I've understood other drivers I had to crawl behind because he did. This is really no big deal. Go with the flow.
The bad ones are where you pickup/deliver at 3am. Then your dispatcher calls you up and wakes you at 7am. Tells you you need to pickup asap over here. You tell him you're trying to get some sleep. He says; 'The Clock! The Clock!" F the clock! How do you think I delivered at 3am?hope not dumb twucker and JForce28 Thank this. -
I think you're allowing yourself to get upset when there isn't any reason to. Noticed a little confusion. One poster mentioned they have parking outside the gate in Lubbock. Either way. Afterward, if you want, you can park back where you staged beforehand.
I've also used DoorDash for dinner. If you want? Be careful. Some of those drivers are incredibly stupid. -
Appreciate the advice. Just feels like a brutally long day of just sitting.

You’ll have to adjust your schedule. They’re probably counting on you to get a full 10 before the second drop so you’ll be ready with fresh clocks.
-
Get used to it. You have plenty of those days in your future.
Get yourself things to do. Go for a walk. Get a pair of adjustable dumbbells. Maybe a kettlebell. Take care of yourself. Getting uptight is the worst thing you can do. Wanna see what getting upset does to you? Look at Dave's thread. After 16 million views. He's still wondering; "What if it snows"
I tell people; My mother used to constantly tell me to sit and wait. Sit and wait for dinner. Sit and wait for this. Sit and wait for that. Little did she know. She was training me to be a truck driver.Last edited: Dec 7, 2025
