uhh 'Nana... I was referring to your previous statement on this thread of "I was country when country wasn't cool." Country, whether referring to our style of living or the type of music we listen to (which I was referring) has always been cool.

It's great that if you are a well educated person and know your punctuation and grammar that you use it. Even if you are not well educated it is still important to give it your best shot and not be lazy about it. With that being said, times have changed and in this high-tech, texting computer world a lot of rules are left behind. Everything is abbrev., lower case and hell there are even thousands of new words that went from slang to the dictionary. I like they way people express themselves through their typing, misspelling, grammar, and punctuation! You can tell a lot from a post about the person just by the way they put down their thoughts. One prime example of this in it's finest form is Mark Twain. I am sure all of us or most of us have read his books and are familiar with the way he tells his stories. Another thing to consider is the fact that this is a "truckers forum" and you have all walks of life on here telling their stories and putting facts out there. I have from time to time corrected people on their posts but in fact I feel as though I am in the wrong. These guys are just trying to help each other out and spend their valuable time posting facts, experiences and answering questions. I think we can all agree that just keeping the "curse" words out of the posts is work enough for some of us!

uhhhhh Buckeye I was referring to a very famous country song by Barbara Mandrell.

Now, I don't know if you were trying to joke or start an arguement over something as tiny as a comment I made but for the record, I was in Buck Owens and Merle Haggard concerts before Dwight Yokum hit the scene. In fact I had a few dinner dates with Merle in '76.

Having been raised on a farm in central Texas I can assure you sparky that I was indeed "country when country wasn't cool".

I knew where you were going. Marie: "I'm a lil bit country" Donnie: "I'm a lil bit rock and roll"

Yes, I was joking, and no, I was not trying to start an argument. I don't believe my post implied that, but we are dealing with non-verbal language in posts which can be misinterpreted, so I'll try to be sure I clarify my posts.
I remember Barbara Mandrell had that hit. Our family used to watch her tv show (with her sisters). What is the "Sparky" references to posters?

What is sparky? To be honest I have noooo idea. LOL at myself. I say a lot of things: skippy, sparky, bubba, lil buckaroo, champ, etc. Heck I've been known to call a friend "spot". Oh if only we could figure out my mind. :biggrin_25523::biggrin_25523::biggrin_25523:
