"The simplest way to rectify it shadow is by not reading the posts that irk you because of their spelling, grammar, and punctuation."
My assumption is that people want their posts to be read. While I have a hard time believing someone wouldn't read a post because it was well-written, I do feel there are those, such as myself, who might not bother reading posts that are poorly written. I've read many posts that are not perfect but as long as I don't have to bust out my decoder ring to figure out what is being said, I'm probably OK with how it was written. I'm just trying to offer some perspective to those who in the past have, for whatever reason, neglected some of the basics of puncuation, spelling, etc.
It's not really my intention to be disrespectful. As an extreme example, imagine that someone had all the answers in the world but only told you those answers in a language you couldn't understand. Would that be helpful for you? That's kind of how I feel reading through some of these posts. So many people on this forum have something useful to say but it almost hurts my head trying to figure out what it is they're saying. So yes, I do skip their posts at times but it's unfortunate because I feel I could have learned something if I was willing to get a headache in doing so.
As an ironic note, I find that a lot of the posts that I find to be the most well written come from new drivers, which means for me, my decisions are weighted more by what those brand new drivers have to say than what the seasoned ones say. That doesn't seem like the way it should be, but it is.
How you write matters

Have you ever stopped to consider that the reason the new drivers are able to better write things is because they were able to get a little bit more of an education? The drivers that have been out here let's say 45 or 50 years spent most of their lives behind the wheel of a truck instead of in a class room. They did not have the privilege of mom's and dad's that gave them near everything so they could go to school, they had to work for a living from a very young age just to help the family. Just because you do not read their post believe me there are plenty others out there to take your place and will. I am sure it will not hurt their feelings at all that you skipped over their post because it gave you a headache. You are the one that loses out not them. So as I have stated before and will state again..."The simplest way to rectify it shadow is by not reading the posts that irk you because of their spelling, grammar, and punctuation." Read the ones you find pleasant to your head.
TruckerDragon, Scarecrow03 and Rerun8963 Thank this. -
As long as you brought it up, it should be 'Proper grammar matters.' The phrase 'How you write matters' is incorrect.

And once again I stand by my first post..."nobody is perfect" one should not throw stones while in a glass house. The window you break may be your own

i might not be seeing any disrespect but others may take it that way, so all that can be said then is, "to each his own", i can understand what you meant.
regarding "new drivers'...........
they may compose well, they may make sense, they may even be far educated that some of us.....but among some of the things they WILL NOT have, is our years of experience and insight. even if and when the "new drivers" get in thier 20 or 30 years in, we would still have them beat.
like said, many HAD to quit school and go to work at a very young age.simplyred1962, Mugsey, Injun and 1 other person Thank this. -
