How did that driver get from Golden, CO to the Layton yard when he was 300 pounds over gross. I'm a little confused. And beyond that, why would you leave knowing you are over gross. Now I sit losing 5 hours of today's drive time because of it. I'm only 50 lbs over gross, but that is according to Layton's scale, and we all know how accurate it can be. So sure I can burn off 50 lbs of fuel, but not before the first scale. I'm cranky now. I shouldn't be cranky on a Friday night.

Over gross. Adjusting wont do any good. I can idle all night and get down, but not sure they will pay for it. He was a company driver. His truck number is on the BOL by his signature and on the miller scale ticket.

I wouldn't worry about 300 pounds...not on the axle, and certainly not on the gross. A mere 50 pounds over gross? I'm on down the road without giving it a second thought.

    50lbs? That's all? Don't sweat it.

I'm not worried about 50 lbs. I'm worried about the Layton scale being off by 200 as it normally seems to be and being 250 over.

Don't know which state Layton is in...but Utah was the first listing with a quick google search.

    Like I said....I wouldn't worry about it.

Well, if they pull you in and you're over weight, just break the seal and drink about 10 cases, you'll be fine then, after you relieve yourself of course ;-)

I get to stop at every open scale. Prepass only working in Oregon. Got nothing in Idaho or Utah.

If you are really concerned, sounds like it, go to the pilot exit 344 and scale there on the cat scale.
