Howdy from Texas!

I am glad I found this site! My husband and I currently live in west Texas and we both have our CDL's with our Tanker/Hazmat endorsement. We are looking at switching over to the oil field and are looking at hauling crude. We currently do not have any tanker experience, but I have ran across a few companies that only require driving experience, so we are going to start with them. We have 6 year of driving with our CDL's, four of them over the road team driving and two of them in straight trucks. Our plan is to get a travel trailer and head down to Midland/Odessa. Luckily we live only two hours away and will be keeping our house, so we will stay in the trailer during the work week and then come home on our days off. There is a lot of good information here and I look forward to hearing from people that are out in the trenches, so to speak, so we can learn what to expect out there!!
