As for my current job, things have slowed down but they got rid of most of their contractors at my hub so we're just about breaking even. So I can't complain at all

So you work at MME according to your history, which is owned by Knight/Swift. Being non-union, they're only not running those contractors ahead of your "senior" drivers because they're being nice (and maybe trying to retain some experience). They can do whatever they want, honestly.

FedEx freight must be slow. They got 6 trucks coming to my FedEx ground hub for peak. Which is weird cause we been yanking a lot of empties. Guess they are going to spend that air freight $

Sounds like it's nothing out of the ordinary then.

FXF announced voluntary furloughs this week. Varies terminal to terminal on how many guys or if even any at all. OD is also starting to layoff too. Getting pretty slow.

I run I 75 through GA regularly......Basically between Atlanta and Orlando.
In the past it was rare to see any LTL going south empty.
Now I see it every day.
    Good Luck fellas......

No layoffs at my place yet, although since they’ve lately been using two drivers to do a job one can easily handle I suspect they may not be too far off.

I work one of the busiest territories we go to and when my run gets light it’s time to be nervous.

I bring a set twice a week into a small Eol. in Williston Vermont. In bound is a little slower than usual outbound is busier than I have ever seen it. I run 89 to 91 to 84 to 81 And the lack of other Ltl's has me nervous.

    MACK E-6 Thanks this.
