we have expected routing that includes hm routing when needed. deviate and something happens is not a good look. see what they in regards to that.

New barn boss just started as well.

I heard once many years ago that Pitt Ohio Express operates like that too, with the requirement that deviation from “expected routing” requires approval and a “detour code”, whatever that means.
I’m not working like that. Some of us don’t need our hands held. -
I’m not employed by Pitt Ohio any longer but I have never called in for any detours. lol

for accident etc detours, we call in for an approved route. that way we get paid for those miles. as for the set routes, I choose big road over 2 lane us/st routes. may be 20 miles extra unpaid but it usually times out the same.

Google maps with satellite and street view has been a life saver for me. I use the satellite view to look for any type of underpass and use street view to read the clearance signs posted.road_runner, Prstone50 and Mike2633 Thank this.
