I brought this into the shop and was told it's not an out of service issue, and it should be fine to send it on down the road. Thankfully there were other techs around who looked at that guy like he was dumb, and those guys went ahead and took the 10 minutes to replace it for me. The nice thing about FedEx is even if it was just that one guy in the shop, the driver still has final say. I could just call dispatch and put it on them to come up with a solution.

Hi guys I had a road test today at what I think will be my new employer. I passed the road test. Going to work for a grocery store fleet. Pay is good and hours are more of a set schedule and much closer to home 1/2 hour drive vs hour and 20 minute drive. I tried my hand at the LTL thing but failed. So I’m back to yanking a refer trailer around again.

So my old employer called me up today and told me that there was an opening and if I would be interested in coming back to pull doubles for them.

Oh I don’t blame you. That’s a rough lifestyle and the only reason I will never work there.

    Banker and Mike2633 Thank this.

You know the job it’s self isn’t so bad per-say but that 24hr rolling 70 hour clock is rough and you do get some hotel staying here which can get a little old as well.
