Oh gosh. LOL!!! I’m part of the Western Conference Teamster Pension Fund which actually did not need a bail out from the government it is actually in the green and has always been it’s 99.1 percent funded with over 50 billion and the funds are allocated so well that this year and the past two years we have been getting a bonus of 260 a month for each year served instead of the 199 for the 8 dollars per hour being put into it by ABF. But anyways whatever you say bro. I’m 20 years I’ll be getting a fat check each month. To each their own.

And let's do the math on that 99.1 percent of 50 billion. What's that 9 tenths of a percent work out to?
It's real money bub.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
Anyways receive 260 a month for each year you serve. Work 25 years then get a check every month. I’ll let you do the math on that one.

Life is a game bro and I’m gonna play it right. If that 50 billion runs out I’ll go ahead and let our fund get a bail out so the non union taxpayers can pay my pension check for the rest of my life. I’m just playing the game bubzsnowman1980, LtlAnonymous and Banker Thank this.

You know, I posted my paystub as per the Russian guy's prompt and I think you misread my employer contributions as my own when you said "those insurance deductions are adding up fast!"
There are pros and cons. I was in a union for ten years. The bennies were great, the pay sucked. In a nutshell I'd say unions are great for the old and / or tenured and terrible for younger employees. Ymmv.LtlAnonymous and Mike2633 Thank this. -
