I surely enjoyed flying down 80 today @ 75 mph, making it from Lorain to Canton in around an hour.. Got me home nice and early..

    *swoosh* there goes swift
    *swoosh* there goes prime
*swoosh* there goes quad graphics.. hahah

Then they all caught my on the hill by the Rest Area damnet.. guess thats what happens when your 86,000 gross, and you drive a single stack mack attack.

Been drivin for 31 plus years. It feels great. The faster your allowed to drive increases you per mile pay. ie: $.36 /mile @ 60mph is $21.60 the same rate @ 70mph is $25.20. So I love those states that allow us to do our job. And as for spacetrucker88 Your buddies are screwing off.

I wouldn't mind it, if I got a worth while percentage, of a load that was worth while.. There is absolutely no money in hauling scrap, unless you own the company, or the truck.

We were 27% of 80%, now we are 21.5% of 100%.. but scrap isn't very expensive. Our best paying regular load is about $70. I am also local though, and home every night. I actually had my best day ever today, and I worked 13 hours, and made $210. But, some how, some way, it always seems to even itself out around me bringing home $500 a week.. which means the rest of my week will be crap loads, for crap money lol.

Ouch. I generally don't make less than $200 a day even on a bad day, and I'm home almost every night too. Hell, sometimes I make an overnight run to Mobile, AL. It's 16 hours round trip. It pays me over $400 on its own. Sounds like hauling scrap is hurting.

I've never brought home less than $750 after everything is said and done. Most weeks are generally over $1000 bring home. Hell, we sometimes score a $1300+ week sometimes. It's not often, but it happens.
