At 45, you would have blown by me too. Really, it seems like the only ones who respect it are the guys pullin fuel with doubles.
What's worse, is Parleys isn't really that bad. It's just long. There's plenty that are way worse.
How's the West is looking?

####... You mean 45mph is to fast!! It's wost then I thought then but I can see that cause them curves was crazy lol. I see the Dry Van guys passing me like crazy, good luck to them lol. I always slow down on the mountains cause I don't like them, except if it’s a straight downhill, going down the mountains with curves is my worst nightmare.austinmike Thanks this.

Too many traffic lights on 201.
Try this if you can for west bound. Should also be OK for east bound.
Take 84 at Echo, says to Ogden.
Take exit 87A on to 89 south.
Stay on that and use the Legacy Parkway to I-80.
Exit off parkway will be marked Reno/ Airport. -
^^^^^ correct I-80 to I-84 to U.S.89 south to I-215 back to I-80

Too fast for me and my old truck. Going is easy, stopping in a hurry not so muchhope not dumb twucker, austinmike, FullMetalJacket and 2 others Thank this.

There're not that many for me, there's like 3 traffic lights, especially going through at night or early in the morning, it's a breeze, no traffic. Also won't I end up going through SLC anyway with that route, that's the purpose of taking UT-201 is to bypass it right.tscottme and Espressolane Thank this.
-
If memory serves me, since the completion of the construction, only one traffic light on the suggested route now. Completely bypassed SLC.tscottme and nextgentrucker Thank this.

Yeah, Legacy Parkway is sweet with 10% of the traffic of I-80. Trucks OK on Legacy Pkwy, BTWnextgentrucker Thanks this.

People used to run Chicken Canyon to Ogden in the old days because the engine brakes sucked and running the extra 10 miles or so saved them time versus coming down the hill on 80 at 25mph. With the engine brakes on new trucks there’s really no time savings to justify the extra miles and slow curves of running the canyon.
Running eastbound in the summer I’d run the canyon if I was heavy and it was hot out just to save working the truck so hard pulling the hill.lual, nextgentrucker, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.
