Alright boys... Made it to Sacramento, CA with my tank still attached to my truck... It was a little foggy on Donner, but I put my flashers on and do 55mph all the way to Auburn so any trucks and cars should know to pass me if they wanna go faster. But anyway, thanks for all the inputs and I'll say this again, SCREW the mountains LMFAO!!!

Sometimes CHP hands out tickets for using 4-ways in a non-emergency.

 …… you used your 4-ways ? Where you stopped ? Who taught you that ? In my 45 years driving a commercial piece of equipment, NEVER have I used the 4-ways while the truck is moving. But go ahead, California loves earning that easy money from Trucks. :D

If it’s not an emergency don’t use your emergency flashers, especially if you’re doing the speed limit.

    Lol, alright.

Well, that's fair... I did go slow from time to time though, compare to them Dry Vans doing 60mph around them curves anyway...

Yeah, it's the only state I've been in where tickets for using 4-ways happens. I've seen the CA regulation posted. Usually it's brought up describing lots of slow trucks climbing a hill. In CA that's not an emergency, it's normal, so driving around at 24 MPH climbing a hill with 4-ways flashing isn't allowed. In every other state, once you slow below the minimum speed on the interstate, say 45-40 MPH you are required to display 4-ways. In CA once there was another truck behind me also climbing a hill, I turned my 4-ways off. I only used mine if I was the only truck climbing a hill and didn't see a cop.

On another topic, in numerous states it's also illegal to run 4-ways in the rain, just because of the rain. Which does make sense to me. 4-ways disguise or delay the application of brakes. CA has their own way to do everything.

One of the things I find additionally despising is the trucks that have the brake lights set to come on when the Jake is on.

I ran the Northwest exclusively for 10 years. The only time I used my flashers on hills was in Oregon because our overweight permits said we had to once we were 10mph below the limit. The only other time was in the winter if I was spinning on a hill because I was fixing to become a hazard.
