1 mile or 1000 miles.. I secure my loads as if my family depended on it.
There is no excuse to risk safety.
Hurst
How's this for load securement?

Hi Hurst, that's true. I'm sure this person goes 2 miles ( I've seen these stacked in an area set aside for these), and like closing the doors on a van trailer for guys only going 3 blocks, why bother. And people wonder how tragic things happen, well, here you go. I can hear it now, " But I was only going around the corner". Too bad it takes an "incident" for these guys to realize that. Is that an old "Schneider" truck?

I've seen those with plenty of straps over the top and asked my self well what's going to stop the middle one from sliding forward. Straps over the top aren't putting much if any downward pressure on the middle one. I'd have a chain or two around the front and one around the back.

This was taken in my hometown. There is construction in the area but I didn't see where this guy loaded or unloaded and I followed him at least five miles.taxihacker66, Hurst and G13Tomcat Thank this.

I took this last week, 2 straps per tire...
Ruthless Thanks this. -
Sounds like you might need this, lol! I got this coupon in an email, for straps and controls, if anybody needs it. They have the same stuff as uscc but better prices. If anyone else has coupons, and wants to share, sure we could all use em!!!

I moved this less than a 1/4 mile in a sealed off construction zone and I chained in down because I don't want to be the guy who everyone knows for the wrong reason.

That's the thing one mistake and lives are changed for ever. The only time I think two straps would be fine is to move the truck 300 feet on level ground to put more on. I have done stupid things, but the stuff I can avoid and plan against I try to stay out in front of.Alberta trucker Thanks this.
