HP announced they are getting out of the computer business. Apparently they are going to sell out their stock of touchpads 16GB and 32GB for dirt cheap. $99 for the 16GB and $149 for the 32GB. If your at all interested in a really cheap tablet now is the time. They won't last long I'm sure if you look here there are some tricks to get the 32GB one even cheaper then $149.

Looks like they are sold out at HP. If you look around the prices should be coming down to similar prices pretty much everywhere. They aren't worth the original price but for the new price they are definitely worth it.
123456 Thanks this. -
Can't find 'em anywhere. Lil bro and I drove all over town today and came up empty handed. Called HP customer support and they said alot of them are being sent back to the mfg. Might be good to visit the HP website in a couple of days to see if thy got some back in stock. too good to pass up for $100-150

Best Buy sold theirs online today for the same prices. It seems like its just going to be a luck thing if you can manage to get one. I'm sure there are tons of people buying lots of them to resell.

They sell out within 15 min usually of a store dropping the price. I haven't even been updating this now since they sell out so quickly. Its almost pointless to put the links here. If you really want one signup at slickdeals and you can setup a email or text message alert for when they go on sale again.
Good luck getting one but your best bet is to do something like that so you will get notified as soon as they go on sale.
Anyone reading this there isn't currently a android port for these but there is now a group of people working on it. I would not be surprised at all if they have android working on these in 1-2 months. Obviously no promises that they will ever run android but it could happen in the future. -
So now that the HP's are sold out ... are there still folks interested in getting an Android tablet ... or was it just the price that motivated everyone?
What is a fair price for an Android tablet (7 or 10 inch) 8 or 16GB with WiFi, webcam, bluetooth, and USB port ... plus Android 2.2 ? -
The touchpad price is what really drove the sales of it. Also for tech savvy people we know that its highly likely Android will be ported to this now with so many in the hands of developers. As for the price of the android tablets 10 inch ones are going for $250 plus depending on which model. It seems the Samsung seems like the most likely to be a true iPad competitor.
If your looking to purchase one do your research don't want to get stuck with the next touchpad at full price only to find that its discontinued.
