Well I have not gotten to the road test yet, but....if you have to wait six months, and since there are quite a few posts here about how excessive your states skills test is: Why not move to a state with less demanding requirements? I'll post back Monday night and let you know how difficult the Texas CDL-A is. Just remember most states have a residency requirement, you would need to check that to know how long you'd have wait after moving.

Hey Keith- I like what you said LUCK. In March, 2013 I made 3mil miles between co and otr. My luck ran out at home backing my single screw yard dump in my drive way to work on. Starting backing, I forgot I was in a streight job and turned right to go left and took out my wifes holly tree she just planted. That weed cost me 95 bucks. She drew up a sign and taped on driver door "student driver". What does a man do? Mike

Ohio can be tough. When I took my test ten years ago we even had the backward serpentine. Hang in there driver, maybe this happened for a reason and something better could be in the works.

OP,This is just my OPINION,again..so don't nobody jump me..
Backing is only a small part of what you gotta do to get paid
doing this job.Yea,it will help not to go plowing into stuff,to stay
    employed.
Once you do get your license, and you will. You have only just started.
You get a whole new can of worms to deal with.
Miss lady bish tester giving you the thumbs down will one day be a fuzzy memory.
Then you move on to all the other tests you didn't get to learn in class,or orientation.
You could hop in your car right now and drive down to a pilot,or whatever, and watch
    "Professionals"
try to back, and miss all day.Keep swingin, maybe try to land a yard dog job with ltl company.

Im going to bed,I have cussed enough today trying to get home to a computer, and a beer :biggrin_25519:

Hey 7-When I made 60, a lot of truth seems to come out. I think I finally lost my "ego" or going senile. Mike
