The "professional drivers" with CB radios COULD do that but they generally prefer to argue and call the drivers asking "what happened" rookies for not asking 10 miles earlier.

I was on 380 yesterday when the snow squalls hit. The few of us together running back from jersey all backed off real good and kept distance from each other. Couple idiots flew by usTall Mike, Frontman and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
A lot of people have forgotten that summer has come and gone-and act all surprised when snow hits! I know I definitely haven’t forgotten because 2 weeks ago 27.5 INCHES of snow was dumped on my house(and no,that is not a misprint). We have have been taught time and time again to allow extra time for weather conditions and yet these wrecks keep happening.
Regardless if you’re running I-90,I-80,I-70/76 or any interstates where the terrain and elevation changes you have to be on your guard(and sometimes “know when to say when”). And also, don’t BUNCH UP!!Last edited: Dec 19, 2019

Okay and here's some helpful news.
In the event that conditions look questionable on 80 and you're about to hit no man's land between Rt 15 and Lamar, get off on I-280 and go around through Williamsport. The elevation doesn't change as much, the road is wider, there aren't any 200 foot deep drops on the other side of that broken old guardrail, and if things get really bad you can pull off in Williamsport, the Lycoming Mall, Rt 15. I think there's even a unlisted truckstop up there (really a gas station with diesel pumps and 5 parking spaces, IIRC.) better than sitting on the shoulder with your 4 ways on waiting to get plowed into.Bud A., BigDog Trucker and tscottme Thank this. -
BigDog Trucker Thanks this.
