I never said larger chains has separate pumps for reefers. I said the opposite. I think you quoted the wrong person.

Rubberduck, you seem a bit confused ...

You can burn whatever the heck you want in your reefer. #1, #2, kerosene, dyed fuel, make your own fuel, whatever.

In your truck, #2 and #1 are basicly the same, except for one minor thing ... #1 can operate at lower temperatures as the refinery mixes it with kerosene I believe, it usually costs more than #2, and the trade off is it has less BTU/s per gallon and maybe even less lubricity. It is also only available in the winter months and northern climates for the most part. But neither #1 or #2 are dyed. Can't find too many dyed diesel pumps much anymore, I just fill my reefer at the lowest pump price if I can.

I don't worry about the reefer fuel in winter. I strictly buy it in Canada where we don't have to worry about gelling. Never even look at the dyed fuel pumps. I just pay the small amount of IFTA that I know I will never get back. Whatever, doesn't hurt me.

I was referring to the same price fuel I put into my reefer without the IFTA taken out of it ... if I pay 3.99 for the truck, yes I get my ifta credit of 0.30 or whatever per gallon, if I must fill the reefer at the same time, I can't claim that 0.30 per gallon for the fuel put into the reefer ... Always lose as far as reefer fuel only goes ...

Don't you get a FSC for the reefer fuel?
