Hum when inverter is running.

    It's a low hum, not static. I just changed radios. I had a Cobra 29 before and there was always a slight hum with or without the inverter running. I still have that with the radio I'm using now but it gets a lot worse when the inverter is running. It is not affected by the volume knob. It's constant regardless of the volume.

    Ok then that's a power issue. Let's start with making sure all the connections to the inverter is clean and tight.

    The second test is a little more involved, taking power off of the batteries for the CB to see if the noise is still there.
