Today I was suppose to talk with the ops director about continuing my employment with this company. I called him on the way to the terminal today. He answered and told me he was heading into a meeting and would call me later. I agreed and trief him again about 5 hrs later and got no answer. So at this point i am just going to figure that he just was not able to work things out. I am not the kind to hassle folk . I'm going to call the new company monday morning and see if I can set up a physical and drug test. I am supposed to have 1 more week here but not sure now if I will be dispatched Monday afternoon. We will see..
Humbled... Confused... Frusterated... but humbled for sure...

Finally talked to the operation director today. The best he could do for me was parking a truck 85 miles from the house, but it would be day shift... most of the time. Needless to say I passed on the offer.
I have my physical set for Thursday afternoon this week. HR lady said I could start Monday morning in a truck with a trainer and do orientation the following week. Seems backwards to me but they be in charge. More to come.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -

^^^^^ ?????? Quote with no post? Happens, I guess.
@BACON XXL hang in there, man and let us know of what becomes.
Are you interested in Dry Vans?
85 miles to work IS FAR, unless you could bring the rig home. Especially after driving your "14" LoL. So you totally passed it up, or are there opportunities to park closer to home???
I live 25 miles from the yard, and I still complain, but am always welcome to bring the rig home unless I've gotta switch trailers from 6122 to 3257 (hot) tanks. And we've got different ones for 8's (corrosives) so there are days I've gotta drop and switch.
Keep us posted; I follow (or try to!) my fellow Bucks~ -

Good for you, man. Told ya, I've heard nothing negative about them; seen them out and about in Toodliedoo.
Wife thought they were K-mart from the Logos, LoL!
You are in a prime area for getting your pick of the litter, and that's awesome.
Wish you the best of luck; keep posted!BACON XXL Thanks this. -

Physical all done. Doc told me I'd need to loose some weight or have sleep study done. I was borderline on the bmi scale. Sent e mail to HR for new company. Need to touch base with my trainer tomorrow to get marching orders for monday. Then we should be ready to jump ship on the current company. This is a really good company to work for, wish we could have worked things out.So Iif anyone wants to haul fuel in Cincy Dayton area, I will recomend them just inbox me. They also have terminals in Indy Columbus oh and toledo.
G13Tomcat Thanks this.
