So; that doesn't affect drivers prospects for good jobs. All the drivers can simply move to another company.
The sky is not falling for truckers; only for trucking companies that aren't competitive.

'As previously reported by FOX Business, the closures have left about 2,659 drivers without jobs. But the good news for displaced drivers is that they may not have too difficult of a time finding more work.
According to the American Trucking Association, the industry might find itself short more than 100,000 drivers in five years – and 160,000 by 2028. Just to replace retiring drivers and keep up with economic growth, the group predicts the industry will need to hire an average of 110,000 workers per year.'

I was at Volvo getting my truck repaired. A driver for another company out of Ohio had his truck repaired also. His was finished on Friday, August 30. Friday his company said they were sending an EFS check P.O. number. Guy waited, never sent. He called Saturday. Talked to a DM who told them they didn't have the money in the account. Wait till Tuesday and they will see what they could do. Tuesday came around. The company called and asked if they could wire the money. Manager at Volvo said yes, but we will hold the truck to the funds hit our bank. The wire was never sent. The company then called with two different credit cards. Both declined. He goes back to the hotel we have both been staying at since Monday, August 26. He finds out the credit card his company used for his hotel was declined. On Wednesday morning September 4th as I was leaving his company still hadn't paid for the truck or motel room and he was washing the hotel managers car. He was 860 miles away from his home and hadn't been paid in two weeks.

I would say we will be hearing about company closing soon.
