Here is my buck from today 11/29. He's no monster, but the nicest buck I've ever shot. [IMG]

Nice looking buck you got this year. I have friends that own land along the fox river just north of Portage. I usually go up there for fishing but the hunting is excellent too. :biggrin_25520:

We are on our second weekend of hunting and nothing
First weekend about 30 miles from Antigo
    Now presently Black river Falls
What sucks is just as I was getting ready to climb my tree stand four hunters drove the woods right by my hunting spot
And spooked up five deer that I would have had an excellent shot at

Hey KWforge you must be quite a shot if you can hit a dear from your spot pretty high up
Looks like elroy sparta country for sure
    Cool pics

The farthest I've shot a deer of that spot was 400 yards. I've got a bipod on my gun and I also have a table there to shoot off of, there's no way I could hit anything that far away freehand shooting.

I went hunting for the first time with a friend, and I think my patience paid off! I'm pretty proud and amazed at my buck. Especially since I learned how to shoot the day before opening morning!!

    That's a nice shaped rack.

Hubby shot his first buck this year. Didn't get any pick of it tho. The rack was nicely shaped but it was a small rack.

Today was the last day of the season for us. I decided to take a break, since I've been out every weekend over the last several and needed to get some stuff down around the house. I got a late start this year and ended up with an empty freezer. I'll hammer on it harder next year, though.
