I live in Melbourne FL. I will extremely busy during the storm people need dry ice when power goes out. If you have questions that I do not cover, feel free to ask me.

The rule of thumb for dry ice use is 10lbs per day for freezer use. If you are going camping, it is more like 12-13 per day. Dry ice is edible and will not harm your food. It is made using liquid CO2.

I would inform them that there is a thing called the weather channel via the quallcomm and ask them if they have heard of it.

Well dispatch asked Wayne if he could come in this morning and load that hazmat stuff that is going to S.Carolina and he said he would. When he got there the lady on dispatch said that Charlston was no where near where that storm was. DUH... Wayne is fixing to bring his atlas in there and show her different. LOL

Anyhow this is the latest from Charlston about the storm:
    http://www.live5news.com/story/1530...cks-up-steam-shifts-course-toward-ga-sc-coast

Latest on the storm as of 5am Eastern time is winds 110 mph. And it wont even be up to the Carolina's until the wee hours of Saturday morning.

The Charlston TV channel 5 says: The National Hurricane Center shows the storm making landfall on either the SC or NC coast near Myrtle Beach and Wilmington, NC. Emergency agencies in South Carolina are going on heightened alert as Hurricane Irene churns to the south and forecasters predicting it could hit South Carolina this weekend.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center projected that Irene could grow into a Category 3 hurricane with winds of 115 mph over the Bahamas on Thursday. And it may carry that force northwest along Florida's Atlantic coast and toward a possible strike on South Carolina, though the forecasters warned that by the weekend, the storm's path could vary significantly from the current projection.
