And the real sad part is exports aside, the lion share of the Bahamas’ economy comes from tourism.
And without the infrastructure in place, not to mention hotels and attractions either being severely damaged or completely destroyed the country’s economy is all but wiped out.

I really don't have too much further. There was a obligatory night of waves burying reporters live in several beaches. (Idiots...)
I am worried about Bahamas. No connection to that Island Nation that is for lack of a better situation simply destroyed.
Cruise lines are stripping ships and supplying them to sail to Bahamas Passenger cruise liners at sea sheltered on the other side of Cuba etc They are coming in soonest.
I have not heard a #### thing from our Navy in Norfolk. It is almost as if our NSA and NMCC is willfully dense and not intending to move assets to help Bahamas. One carrier can support Freeport with unlimited power and freshwater as well as serving thousands as a city does at a time. There are I think 6 of them in Norfolk. We can man them minimal, pile them with food and kits and get sailing that way. No need for airplanes, just helicopters and a hell of alot of them. Am I the one dummy who is alone in this thinking? Is America that dumb?
A dab of coast gaurd and royal navy arriving is nice but pitiful when you consider 120,000 should they live this week need to be packed up, shipped off Bahamas and relocated for the indefinate future. The entire Island Nation. And teams sent to process the dead soonest.
This may be my last post on Dorian. It's been over a week and Im over it. I will keep a eye on that thing for one of our own sitting on a barrier island but don't expect any real problems.
The rest of it on television is endless hype and looping. That needs to be changed permanently going into the future. Its a waste of resources.FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
I consider that entire Nation completely destroyed. Flying containers at their port as it got smashed then drowned convinced me. You need to move about 120,000 today to shelter in the US Mainland. Little Bahamas for sure wherever they go. Two of our stadiums should start off nicely.FlaSwampRat and mjd4277 Thank this.
