That’s an absolute all out lie!! I have family that live all over the state of Florida, and they NEVER shut down any interstate so people CAN leave and NOT BE “STUCK”. Because they want everyone in the evacuation areas to do just that, LEAVE!!! They don’t want to come save you because you are to stubborn to leave. And if the roads were “shut down” and you were “stuck” there’s no way any airlines were flying in that either genius. Don’t come on here making up stories to try and save face or justify you abandoning your job. You refuse to work, you’ll get replaced. That’s one thing that irritates me about people like you lying like this. I lived in Florida for years and have family still there. So I know what’s happening there. And your story sir, is false from beginning of you were “stuck” to the end and they closed interstates but flew the driver in.....

Well I lived there for 16 years. Not buying the OP story. But, at a certain point they will shut the interstate or portion of it AFTER the evacuation. They announce for days evacuations and hiway conditions. And they announce in advance when certain roads will close. US 1 normally first to close then bridges over the intercoastal waterways.
My two cents.

Have to keep an eye out if I ever end up back East.
