Hurricane Francine....

You better believe I’m keeping an eye on it.
I’m currently stuck in Baytown,TX. Been here since Wednesday night. Truck popped a check engine and a stop engine light and had to be towed to a Kenworth dealer. Company put me in a hotel room. Dealer had to replace a differential sensor,U-joint and they’re troubleshooting the after treatment system.


Tropical Storm warnings are in effect as of yesterday afternoon. Francine is expected to make landfall in the next 24 hours.

 

Looking southeast with I-10. The main part of the storm is expected to strike Louisiana and Mississippi. It is a little humid, but not oppressive, got a nice little breeze coming out of the north.

Found out that the DPF system is completely clogged and the filters have to be replaced (truck is still under warranty so Kenworth is taking care of that). Francine is expected to make landfall as a strong Category 1,possibility a Category 2 hurricane.

 

Francine is now a Category 1.

 

Got 3 drops in La tomorrow

The bad news is that Francine is going to hit Louisiana,Mississippi and Alabama head on. There are numerous warnings along the Gulf Coast from the Texas/Louisiana state line eastward all the way to the Florida Panhandle.

I was at the Speedco in Baytown on the 9th having a tire replaced. Didn't see you anywhere.

 

I was either in the customer lounge at the KW dealership or at the hotel,depending on what time it was. I’m at the dealership now waiting for an update on the DPF system.
