Wisconsin has zero tolerance for alcohol and CDL. Any amount and you lose your CDL privilege. Even while operating a private vehicle.
I could get pulled over in my car in another state after lunch and having a beer and blow a trace of alcohol receive no violations and I lose my CDL privilege for my Wisconsin license.

Hire a trucking attorney. If the glove don't fit, you must acquit.
25 mph over?? Sheesh. Like 85 in a 60 zone or 50 in a 25? Slow it down. A trucking attorney might be able to get the blood test dismissed. Hopefully hubby pleaded the fifth. The speeding is a game changer as well if he can't get that reduced or dismissed. Either way if just one ticket sticks he's out of the game for 3-5 years for any decent company.
Good luck, and stick in there.MidwestResident Thanks this. -
Yes, quit insulting Canada.Rick Brown, jbee and MidwestResident Thank this.

Wisconsin OWI Commercial Drivers or CDL License
OWI CDL Laws
As a CDL holder, you are subject to different blood alcohol content (BAC) levels depending on the vehicle you were driving at the time of arrest. If you are pulled over while operating your personal vehicle, the legal limit is .08%; however, if you were operating a commercial vehicle, the BAC is reduced to .04%.

I'm a strong proponent of harsh DUI penalties. Sorry, but to me drinking and driving is pretty much attempted murder. Plus being a CDL holder, you know better. I've got no love for DUI.

Good thing you can't hear me sing.....*sing along with me, Oh Canada, Oh Canada....*
C'mon not4hire....we aren't arguing about the BAC percentages. Bottom line, as a CDL holder, get a DUI (either 0.04% or 0.08%), YOU LOSE YOUR LICENSE. PERIOD! GET TWO, AND CHECK BEHIND THE DOOR AFTER 10 YEARS.MidwestResident Thanks this. -
So misinformation is okay so long as it's misinformation you approve of? Got it.
Is that okay for securement too? I mean, so long as the load doesn't shift it's okay right?
How about truck operation; RPMs?, Oil levels? Tire pressures?truckon, truckerlife74 and MidwestResident Thank this. -
Seriously?
You just can't let it go can you? You showed where there is a difference in the calculation of BAC differs from non-CMV and CMV, I acquiesced to that issue. You then retorted with there is no penalty for a DUI received by a CDL driver when operating a non-CMV, but I proved you wrong (remember columns 2 and 5). Now you say I am offering some sort of misinformation by stating a CDL driver loses his CDL privilege no matter if operating a CMV or a non-CMV.
Good thing for us you're Canadian, I'm sure you would write in OBAMA on the 2016 Presidential ballot.KenworthGuyNH and MidwestResident Thank this.
