All lease programs are usually designed to make the company money not the driver.
Look at it this way you will pay the payments on their truck, insurance, plates, repairs, fuel, etc and will get peanuts for the job while the trucking company will get paid alot of money.
Most lease programs are set up to mess drivers out of money and make the companies more money.

There can be some weeks were your hubby will end up owing the company more money than he made that week then he will be in the hole and get no check.
Do you think the company will loose sleep over you not being able to pay bills, eat, put clothes on your back? heck no.

You need to pound it in his head to stay away from the leese idea.
He needs to stay as a company driver for a while 1 year plus before he even thinks about buying his own truck or leasing one.

If you put lipstick and other makeup on an ugly pig will it still be a ugly pig? Of course it will be.

I do not how else to put it not to lease.

i do know that one thing is good about that lease is that it will help you establish credit if your credit needs boosting. then maybe he can own his own truck just a thought???

It will only establish credit if you can keep afloat, Trust me, the only one that will benefit from a lease is the company. If you default on the lease, and they count on it, you will lose the truck and they will lure some other sucker into it.

Thanks guys, I am trying to talk him out of it, his company makes it sound great but that's their job. Maybe in the future he could own a truck but for right now I just want to focus on paying off our bills. He got his own truck today they are cleaning it out and he should be out of TX tomorrow, HOPEFULLY on his way home to me not Cali or something.

Right now we don't have our own place, all our stuff is packed at his dad's, and I am staying with my parents here in Westland till I can go with him. No rent = paying bills off faster lol. We are right by Palmer and Wildwood.

Oh an yea he does smoke hopefully not too much longer though! I know I don't want to be in a truck filled with smoke all day lol.

Well just got done talking to him for the night, he will be out of there tomorrow morning just hoping he gets a load home! He did talk to a guy that does... blah now I'm going to forget the word it's late... the same route back and forth? I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Anyways the route is from our area to Canada, and this guy says he will for sure put hubby on it in a month, because for the first month he's on the road he has to do his trip plans over the phone, and this guy don't have the time for it. So basically he will be able to be home alot more! :love4: My first post I was a bit of an overreaction to not seeing him I suppose, it's working out now. AND I brought up the whole leasing is a bad idea thing again, he's siding with staying just a company driver for awhile. Thanks all for the advice I will for sure be sticking around these forums. :biggrin_25519:
