What if you have it but it's not on the truck yet?

I have it in my permit book just don't want to put it on truck maybe go once every two years

 

I just tape mine to the inside of my windshield once a year when I go there. Then back into the permit book till next year.

 

I go a few times a year but not enough to put that sticker on my truck. Its stays in my permit book.

 

I ran in NY, for about 7 yrs. without one. OOIDA had told Me it was discontinued. Turned out displaying it was discontinued, but It was still required. I learned all this, while in NY. I was a nervous wreck trying to get out of there ASAP. Even sat a while till NY State Police Bear was gone from the area, Lol. Haven’t been back since. Don’t miss it either. It’s a wonder I never got caught.

 

Last year, I had my HUT sticker in my permit book. (Honestly, forgot to put it on) I got pulled in, I showed the PO that I did have it, just forgot to put it on. He didn't give me a ticket. Just a level 1 inspection.

No violation found, just wasted 45 minutes of my day. I put my sticker on before I pulled out. Why give them a reason to inspect.
