Is it 2008 again?
Well I do believe ELD is helping make this happen at least partially. My reason being all the elog fans say now the Government knows we can't do our job, and make our appointments with actual hours used on ELD. Yet rates are not increasing and neither are wages. Not at least in non union Regional, long haul general freight. Will anything change soon? No it won't, and the megas will get most of the pie. -

I was not blaming eld. But rather the hours recorded are just not enough many times with eld tracking them. No magic slight of hand like paper. So now the Government know it's impossible to do what used to be done in 14 hours. Did you read the whole comment?

I have yet to not make an appointment ELD has nothing to do with it, 11 hours i can log around 600 miles, if the Broker says i need to make 1200 miles in 1.5 days, i tell him find a team.

Some company drivers are dispatched more than 600 miles a day. Pretty sure you know that.

Oh i know, a broker called me the other day offered me a load 900 mile round trip in 18 hours. I dont know anyone other than super truckers that will do 900 miles in 18 hours.
The math dont add up unless its a team load, but they weren’t offering me a team rate. It was $1.40 rpm, If the rate was lets say $5 per mile, I’m pretty sure 900 in 18 was doable.
