I would have to be paying 1.00 per gallon for fuel for that to be profitable, and I run a team truck...

Your mega probably charges for everything. , I pay for fuel and truck payment. I have very low fixed cost. I have my own maintenance account as well . We don't have money taken out for it. We run out and back to Denver. It's easy to get 12,000 a month. I m get close to 14,000 this month. Also on paper. I still bring home 2,000 to 3,000 . Pay myself 30% , 20% for taxes . I came in with a 10,000 maintenance account . Very smart thing to do. My bottom line is lowerr bc my gf has a decent job were I don't pay most bills.

Not really, my fixed costs include truck payment, down payment (taken out for 30 weeks when you first get the truck), my prepass and pike pass, (like 12 bucks total a week) and I can choose to have their maintenance account or make my own. When I first set it up, I set it up with theirs, but now that I'm established I'll be changing it to an account of mine so it operates off a debit card. I put 15 cpm in maintenance in order to build it up quick. When it gets over 15k I will drop it some. But my company has no forced maintenance.

Then we have our student loan payments, but that's completely on us and we both drive, so it doesn't matter.

That's really it..maintenance input varies by mile so it not really fixed, and at around 15k next year it will be my down payment on a new truck to go somewhere else

At least your thing , Thats always good. Hvh just got a new president and is changing a little bit but I assume will get a better base rate soon. Good luck out there

What's your fsc? And are they passing fuel ard rebates onto you? Like comdata gives 30 cents or so back for fueling at TA/Petro... that may tell the tale

Fsc is .20 for the west , .14 for the rest of the country. But that'll go up bc fuel when up this week. I get comdata. I've had up to .60 of on some fuel stops.

Ok, now we're getting to where this makes sense. Our FSC is a joke and is under 2 cents right now.

So, assuming the lowest...14cpm added to your base cpm looks a whole bunch better, top that off with let's say even 20-30 cents off at the pump, now you're making more than me.

My base rate + FSC is less than 1.14 per mile,

Yours is 1.15, plus you're getting anywhere from 20-60 cents per gallon off at the pump, I'm getting the 6 cents off for cash price and that's it, they pocket the comdata rebate.

Not as good as a percentage deal, but I will concede to it being a better deal than where I'm at. I had been trying to figure out why people were speaking so highly of HVH and knew there had to be something I was missing. Thanks for setting me straight.

Dam , yea we get full fuel discounts. We get a 7 day a week open payroll not one day and a deadline. Most weeks I'm getting paid twice a week . It normally totals at 2500 or so. I took home 3600 this last week combined. The cash flow is good. Also those numbers are after expenses as well.

So your average NET cpm is about $0.67 - $0.86
    $2000 / 3000mi/wk = $0.67
    $3000 / 3500mi/wk = $0.86
how long have you worked for HVH?
    Thanks.
