I always stopped there coming home from Denver, stretch my legs is all. I'd stay in Milan at Petro. If I had a deliver at Coke in Flag, I'd stay at this little hole in the wall place on 89 just on the outskirts of Flag. Mary's diner was next door. Comin back all through them hills, then a late supper at Mary's, now that's truckin'.x1Heavy Thanks this.

WATER is your main concern. Mostly in case of a breakdown in BFE Nowhere. You can live fine without food for weeks at a time. At 115-degrees, your truck will be 140 and you will DIE staying in it all day.
Enough water and a Cellphone, you're going to be fine. Enough water and NO cell-phone, you'll be fine. NOT enough water, you just turned a breakdown into a life-threatening situation.
Not pop, not beer, not coffee in a thermos. WATER. 3 gallons of it. That will last you a couple of days if you ration it. I've broken down in BFE AZ and had to wait 24 hours when it was 119-degrees out. Crawl under your trailer and dig a small hole. drink lots and wait for the cavalry.Lepton1, x1Heavy and Dave_in_AZ Thank this.
