BAD ADVICE!!!!
With many companies, a seat belt ticket is an automatic DQ because it is easily avoidable (buckle up), and easily enforced (cops can pull you over for it in many states)...enforced as a 7 point violation on their CSA when you get caught again in their truck. It's a headache they can easily avoid by NOT hiring you. The point value for a seat belt ticket is on par with speeding 11-14 mph over the limit.
Failure to maintain lane would only be 5 points in a CMV. Why on earth would you plead guilty to a charge that looks WORSE to a prospective company than the original charge?
Hydroplaned in personal vehicle. Got citation for failure to maintain lane

Hydroplaning in a car is no joke. Had a very close call a few yrs back right after having 4 brand new tires installed.I was surprised as I was driving easy also while all the maniacs were flying by me

Too fast for conditions is still a lateral move (and discretionary by nature), whereas seat belt infractions carry more points, and are easy to avoid.

Never could understand the bald tire thing. Specially this time of year.
Used tires cost what? $20 $25.bzinger Thanks this. -

I’m pretty sure it’s required to notify your carrier within 30 days. Waiting until you find out what happens to notify your carrier when it’s past 30 days is a huge no no. If they wanted they could fire you for that.
Edit: in Texas it says you have 30 days but I can’t speak for other states.buzzarddriver Thanks this. -
