Hydroxycut? Losing weight without doing much?

    Complex carbs are great for making you feel "even" in comparison to simple carbs. But as far as the body is concerned, it doesn't know the difference. A carb is a carb, and simple or complex - they're both worth four calories.

    A person needs a certain amount of protein (4 calories per gram), and a certain amount of fat (9 calories per gram) to stay healthy. So once you've eaten your needed protein and fat, you can gain or lose with carbs. You can be plenty healthy with no carbs at all. So the best way to lose weight and stay healthy is to regulate the amount of carbs you intake to stay at a caloric deficit. And in the end, it's that simple. You eat less calories than you burn, and you lose weight. You eat more calories than you burn, and you gain weight.

    For long burn, I simply eat more often. My wife makes jerky for me, and when I get hungry, I nibble on a piece.

    I used to, heavily. Needless to say, I wasn't at a caloric deficit. I was eating 1.2 grams of protein, and .8 grams of fat per pound of body weight, and making up the rest of my daily calorie goal with carbs. If I was too full to eat any more, I'd down a few spoonfuls of sugar for the remaining carbs. Sometimes if I couldn't meet my fat macro, I'd eat a hefty spoonful of Crisco.

    Edit: Gains and losses start in the kitchen.

    Looking strong there. I never could make much progress on my legs, and I did ATG squats three days a week.

    Thank you Sir, I've been at it since the late 70's
    Won bodybuilding shows and powerlifting competitions. Quit competing a long time ago but I'm still at it at 60..
