Well do not fail to wear sandels and latex gloves. My last road shower was in one of those. It had wet blood on the stall floor and sink. Yes it was free but increased problems with blood borne pathogen infectious risk. That was the evening after 9-11 and we had switched to body wipes and european style liquid soaps etc to keep that team truck moving. Only stopping for fuel we kept pretty clean in that cab but a good swim in the suseqhenna or the chesapeake would do the same thing. Dive in. Or stand out side in a texas storm lol. There are thousands of ways to get cleaned up.

Wow, unbelievable. I'd rather stick to swimming in a creek. -
If that does not scare you into wearing sandals and gloves spraying 10% bleach into the stall and sink.... this will.
Druggies who inject are dead in about a year or two because they start off with arms when those fail, they go to legs finally the feet and THEN they get really big hunting for the major arteries in the groin and Jungular of the neck. Shove the needle in there until it bleeds and then push the drugs. If it hits the artery boom high. If not? It spreads inside the flesh and then generates abcesses and gangrene etc rotting them inside out.
Those free stalls in Ohio is a junkie's dream. In. Inject. Out. No hassle, no snoopies and total privacy.
That is one reason wife and I switched to truck cab based hygene after that experience.coastietruckin', Jeck and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
Drugs are a scourge upon our Nation. If we don't get a hold of the problem, we're going to be a nation of zombies. -
Jeck Thanks this.

I usually take a shower when I wash the truck, if it's good enough to keep the truck shinny why not me!!!

Short version. Your brain is defended by a membrane. Blood Brain barrier. Anything that is created in medicine capable of crossing this barrier is a scheduled controlled substance. Schedule one through 4 and certain drugs since roughly 1914 FDA drug act such as cocaine (Which was dispensed in medicine until roughly 1950 and certain ultra specific surgical eyedrops which do not get sold to anyone who does not hold the necessary credentails in that field.) cross into the brain and make you feel good from pain or something else.
Your brain then generates what is called keys, cells that are literally a socket like the electric socket in your wall. These keys are called receptors chemically. They flow into your bloodstream and flood out whatever it is that is forcing the brain to stop feeling pain or lose control of a numbed nerve or body wide anethesia etc. Your brain WILL attempt to flood the invading drugs out to maintain it's awareness of the body and self.
If your drugs such as herion is strong enough, it will put the brain out of business. You feel too good then you drop out for hours. As dead. People seek that. Take it away after the first experience the intense high, the brain flips out and wants more of it. If you do NOT supply the body and mind with this drug, you enter what is called withdrawal. Most people have a little tummy ache maybe throw up, maybe shake and shiver as if they were cold. After 30 hours the body attempts to flush out the drug in major sweat which is classic for narcotic sweats that drip, your home can be 50 degrees under max air conditioning and it wont matter you will lose a gallon every few hours until the drug sweat stops. Or it stops you via dehydration then runs a fever.
If you do NOT find a source of this drug to stop the major withdrawals your brain cranks it up a notch and overdrives your nervous system, you enter DT's Derelim Tremins (Spelling.) at this point you are so sick, equal to the sickest ER heart attack patient you require medicines to regain control of that brain before it kills you. There are drugs that plug receptors (Methadone for one) and kills the overactive brain and makes it think oh good Im getting the drugs now.
The problem with withdrawls is that your brain over floods your body with receptors seeking ANY kind of drug. YOU are so sensitive at this point to anything. In about 10 days to 30 days your receptors return to normal. You would have returned to reality and it's ugly.
That is why giving pain medicine to people reach a tolerance legally allowed by the states usually 4 times a day at 10 mg a day in my state. Anything over is administered at the hospital for obvious reasons such as a surgery, broken bones etc. When people hit the tolerance at the pain clinic, they give the doctor trouble demanding more and stronger drugs. A very few such as myself are allowed to use Butrans or Fentenyal patches which work over 3 to 7 days at a time (At a cost of about 1000 dollars per month retail) usually reserved for cancer or proven intractable pain supported by specific medical tests proving that yes. This owie is not in your head.
The rest of the people who demonstrate drug seeking are kicked out of the clinic and told to go away. They are now in withdrawal and spiraling downhill. What do you do? Buy a 20 dollar needle of herion and inject. BOOM Withdrawal solved. Feeling like a million dollars feeling good and no worries period.
A few hours later it wears off, another needle please drug dealer. Then the arms burn out in the veins. Then the legs then the hands and feet. Then the groin. The problem with the major arteries there in that part is the Police do not search that area on the street they only look for arm tracks and other areas. Holes develop big enough to stick the finger in those locations as the body rots in those overabused injections.
Eventually given enough time without the drug. They lay down wherever they are usually skid row in the street or something and just die unless another drug user recognizes the problem and jugs em with a injection in the jungalar that revives em instantly. But it only buys time. A few hours at best. Until Death if continued to be denied methadone or other specific drugs designed to make the abuser absolutely stop.
Narcan is one. It's very powerful. If used, and the person IS a drug abuser or overdosed on pain medicine that person will wake up instantly and be a very violent dangerous bear seeking to hurt anyone in reach in a few moments. IF>.... that person is NOT a abuser and given Narcan, that person will NOT wake up fast they will continue to lay there because their problem is not drugs it's something totally different like a failure of the heart or something else.
Considering the Ohio (See I stay on topic) Rest Areas. There is no reciepts turned in with the name of the person to anyone, it's anonymous. Secret. Availible to any abuser in a moment as long it's empty and unlocked. Usually no police around to nose around into thier stuff.
My experience in that I-80 Rest Area on the night of the 9-11 with the drops of bright arterial blood (Not the purple veinous or clotted) at the stall and then sink shows me that there was a abuser injecting serious areas within say 20 minutes of my arrival to take shower there. The converstation with the spouse as we rolled towards the burning NYC generated a rememberance of spouse's european travels as a marine and ways to get clean with body wipes and liquid soaps of that type from Europe and a little bit of bottled water and towel easily dried in the sleeper.
It was a time of war. A time of change in a land of drug abusers who present a infectious blood threat in our industry that is unacceptable. We were doing what we required to do to maintain our health because now as the time that day on 9-11 to keep that truck and medicines rolling for McKesson. People are in hospitals who need it. now. No time to be sickie and feeling poorly.
Or lighting off a hot piss test at the company yard on demand. That is lethal to the job and future hiring in trucking.Last edited: Mar 7, 2017
