Audiobooks! Yes please! They can be had for free, cheap or expensve. Most libraries will have a selection.

Far as length they can vary from an hour to 48 hours, thats not a typo. If your getting bored with music or podcast..explore other types. Find talk radio, or sports,or stock prices an news. Try new things, you just might find something new you like.

Otherwise, you will end up bored. Like others suggested ge out every now and then. Break, or get a room on your reset, something that breaks up your normal routine. Some can drive for 8 and no break, others stop more often. Do what works best to for you , we aren't all the same when it comes to traveling .

    Good luck, and be safe.

Get a faster truck maybe, there's nothing boring about rolling through Texas at 75-80 mph...

Listen to podcasts that are hard to understand or that stoke your curiosity, like philosophy. Or podcast with a narrative/story like S-Town or Serial from this American Life.

I also recommend WORLD WAR Z.

The oral history of the Zombie War. Written by Max Brooks and each section has a different actor and I like that variety.

80 percent wash out in the first year.
    Everybody knows this.

What most don't know is mega's have done research
That shows that if you make it thru the first year otr,
Your almost a lock to do 10 more years on the road.

So you better just quit now, or your going to be
Stuck out here like the rest of us.

Some guys sound like they'd do their 11 straight if it wasn't for the mandatory 30min break.

I won't do that. If I see a Rest Area or truck stop with easy parking, I'm stopping to get my ### out of the truck and move around for at least 5 to 10 minutes. I may sometimes just put my head down and close my eyes just because that's how much I can get sick of starting at the highway.

I'll also check my Podcast / YouTube subscriptions when I first stop and start downloads of anything interesting. I love that option on Smartphones to download YouTube content.

I'm currently a yard spotter, but thinking of being a road driver again.

I strongly agree with this. I listened to the audiobook Quantum Man: Richard Feynman's Life in Science read by the author. It was biographical referencing history including working on The Manhattan Project as well as discussing Quantum Mechanics in detail which is a serious mind-bender.

I also recommend TED Talks or debates. Don't just listen to Political debates though; that gets stale really fast. As @nomikona also suggested, try topics like philosophy.

Another topic I'm into is all commentary on media technology by Marshall Mcluhan who I feel was way ahead of his time.

Often I'll just hit the scan button on the radio and let go for awhile.

I've gone as long as three days without even turning it on.
Just hearing the occasional chatter on the cb.
I seriously dont mind riding in silence for long periods.

older folks and those with military experience know about idle time alone with nothing but your own thoughts.

didn't have a smart phone to constantly keep fidgeting with.

imagine you are writing a book, it is harder than you'd think.lol

I used to get audio books from the library, but it’s hard getting them back on time, and it really stinks when you are enjoying the book and it stops working or skipping.
I have Sirius, the radio and an audible acct.
I still end up daydreaming or get distracted when city driving and end up losing parts of the story.
I can not listen to British narrators, they make me sleepy.

I also have a pandora acct.
