I am still down in Florida not sailing away yet, Wrenching on my buddies live aboard cruiser currently.
Detonated a piece of piston off one of his gas 454s last fall before we left to go up north and deal with the northern live aboard cruiser.
I found a like new used piston and rod and have the motor stripped down. Now to get it out of the bilge and on the floor of the salon to roll it over and bolt up the rod.
Lucked out no cylinder damage just the exhaust valve got nicked up when chunk went out exhaust.
I have barely looked at the semi in the last 2 years, plan was to get to work on it going through the mechanicals on it last spring, but than Covid hit while I was in Florida
Truck is up at my ex mother inlaws place up in Michigan and she is 78 years old with only one lung. I wasn't t going to take a chance going up there and risk me Being the one that infected and killed her.
I’ve had enough

I wonder if this is the flaw with the business model. A sort of a "tragedy of the commons " type deal where guys ditch loads at the last second or dont worry about keeping appointments because its not on their authority and there is not a dispatcher to get on their ### if they screw up
